phpnet.us very bad hosting some time not work i find close.php and e mail with no smtp u can not send a message and it is no body can help u if u have a broblem in ur site
anyone know how to connect database? i mean i run my php but theres an error the error says "mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)" these is the syntx i use to connect to the $host="sql.phpnet.us"; $dbuser="----"; $dbpass="----"; $dbname="----"; $dbtable="----";

The hosting is okay. Sometimes the server is down which can be quite annoying. Does this host support smtp for forums and other programs like coppermine? When I use my gmail account smtp settings it doesnt work with this host.

I love phpnet up until today. The site is down. I have had the account for maybe two and a half months. In that Time I did not see any down time. Their is no notification for this down time. It is much faster than my copy of my phpnet site that I have on on .awardspace.com as a test site.
I would hope so its been over 24hrs of no activity! Very Dissapointed.. Just started a forum on this server on thurs and it goes down on Saturday and Sunday WTH!? I have pending accounts and I cant get anything done... NOTE: This server doesnt not support SMTP.. So bypassing when using phpbb can be a pain.. I found a TPL that overides the error that I still seem to get when having newcommers register.

Well phpnet has been down for a week now. Wed their main main website was online but not my webpage. Only Ads would display. I was able to FTP my entire site to keep as a backup.
Shure wish they would let people know what is going on. I realize I have a free account and I am at their mercy but this week the entire domain was down. I sent an email last Monday and they said they would be up and online at the end of the work day. Well, a few days later I was able to get thru and backup my website, just incase.
It looks like they have stopped supporting email because of all the problems they are have with it. This just happened in the last month because my setup was working using on POP. SMTP has not been support for a long time, as I understand it.
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in config.inc.php and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

gotta say this host STINK i had a site running the my databse was lost and i tryed everything to get it back up but didnt happend . so i make a new site lmfao same shit happends the sql databases were gone . lmfao stay way from this host aint worth shit
I can't get anything to work at all with phpnet.us, or for that matter with ifastnet.com - I just get the same annoying adverts with both sites. I've used their own tools to create databases and install wikis but still just get those annoying adverts. I've copied and pasted the URLs (to eliminate typos) and used with a variety of directory and file names (which SmartFTP confirms do exist) but get .... you've guessed it - those adverts. So I copied a known good index.html file to both sites and deleted evertything else and, surprise, surprise, just get adverts. This isn't helped by a total lack of guidance, help or support from either site - phpnet.us even tell you not to email them. I can only assume that phpnet.us and ifastnet.com are just a con to get people to read their ads. Seems to be another case of, if it seems too good to be true then it probably is.
All other phpnet sites are working, but mine isn't, and i have tryed to contact them at support@phpnet.us but i got no reply, my site is a fansite, and does not break any of their terms!
I went on the site phpnet to have an account but alas at the end of my inscription this bad message was given me "Sorry. We are unable to supply you with an account at this time" so where is the Instant activation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their home page only works with the www's! This is why lots of people are getting it wrong :/
I have signed up and my account works perfecty.
I have found a few sites on Google for phpnet.us and all of them are working.
I see no problems with this host.
