I love phpnet up until today. The site is down. I have had the account for maybe two and a half months. In that Time I did not see any down time. Their is no notification for this down time. It is much faster than my copy of my phpnet site that I have on on .awardspace.com as a test site.

Shure wish they would let people know what is going on. I realize I have a free account and I am at their mercy but this week the entire domain was down. I sent an email last Monday and they said they would be up and online at the end of the work day. Well, a few days later I was able to get thru and backup my website, just incase.

Their home page only works with the www's! This is why lots of people are getting it wrong :/
I have signed up and my account works perfecty.
I have found a few sites on Google for phpnet.us and all of them are working.
I see no problems with this host.

phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in config.inc.php and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

They suck, they force banner ads on your site, regardless of what type of site you have.
I had a free site with PhpNet.us and it was a CHILDREN's web site. It was safe, no ads, and had lots of fun stuff on it for kids. One day, I opened my web browser to PhpNet.us and BINGO !!!! there were these banner ads for "dating young girls", "sexy girls" and all thypes of other not so good stuff for kids.
I sent PhpNet.us an email and asked what was up. They replied with: "we had to start inserting banner ads on everyone's web sites to bring in more income."
I thought, "Oh! that's nice that they informed everyone ahead of time." They just forced the banners in without notice.
Anyhow, I shut my site down so kids wouldn't go there because of the TYPE of banner ads they had. I also got them back for doing what they did with the banners -- I put up another free site just for them:
