I e-mailed cabspace about it, they didn't respond.
You can put your page on cabspace, but they mght put ads on your page.
Cabspace is still pretty stable, it just has ads now.

I have emailed cabspace but they do not reply!
I joined on the premise that it was ad free which it was when I was joined but now they have added adverts.
Still, I spent so much time on the site and even though its a free time I spent £20 advertising it and now it's off line.
Cabspace admin, are you coming back or what?
If not then you should really tell people who have spent all their time on their sites that you were going or at least inform them of prolonged downtime and maybe even answer your customers emails.
If you are not coming back on line I for one will be making inquiries about legal proceedings I can take against you for the above as I have wasted a lot of my time and hard work and a few pounds too.

After reading your post on this and other forums I think I see the problem with cabspace. Judging your command of the English language,spelling and grammar you must be the one who is responsible for the operation of the cabspace website.
fluency in language doesn't necessarily have to go with good admin skills, so that's bit rude. focus on the subject rather than on the person.
But the fact is that cabspace unfortunatelly isn't the best free provider (big plus for no ads and diskspace though, big minus for often downtime).
In short - if you wan't reliable hosting - buy one - there's loads of hosting providers out there.

His language skills are on a par with his admin skills. 3/21/07 and so far the site has been down a week now. What does that say for for a web hosting site?

There are others as well. But don't try to say that cabspace is better then any other free hosting plan. As far as buying or paying for a hosting plan you are also wrong.

Cabspace is a crappy webhost. I think I know why they're down. They're trying to program spambots on their webpages, so when people sign up or checkout a cabspace website, they can infect people's computers with their malicious Trojan cookies. Thats exactly what they tried to do with those adbrite ads.
Seriously, when I first saw those adbrite ads on Cabspace. I saw that adbrite put something onto my computer, though cabspace. After seeing that, how can I trust them? How can anybody trust them?
Advertising companies use those types of cookies to monitor peoples internet behavior. Then they sell that information to other companies so those companies can send out spam to its victims.
Best webhosting company? well the cabspace admin thinks so, but we all know now that he's just trying to scam a few extra bucks.
Hey, I have an idea. try ZEXXO.com. They offer the same deal that cabspace has, only without the spam.

We put cabspace back on-line for 2 days for users to get the webpages but if you don't like what cabspaces do's they are a lot more free host out there. Not as good as cabspace but there still free.

Cabspace admin, Peter Griffin knew what was going on and switched his website away from cabspace on or near December 31. While all the while posting on this and other forums that they were updating their servers. Peter knew enough to move his site away from cabspace well ahead of the termination point.

The difference is that there are some former free hosts out there that told their users that they were going to switch over. Cabspace lied and lied, and disappeared with no announcement or explanation or anything. Which is rude.
I think that's why people are annoyed, not that the free host disappeared, that has happened before, and will happen again, but Cabspace lied, and just went away with no warning. Spam problems... sure...
The moral of the story to the former users of Cabspace, keep a copy of your files on your computer or on a disk if you can, because even Paid Hosts can crash so hard that they lose all your stuff. Backup, Backup, Backup.

They refuse to put up even one page. They could make it an under construction page or a coming soon page.
There is no excuse for them not coming on this forum and explaining their problem. Hell, they won't even answer a e-mail.
